-Keep the album’s outer packaging away from direct sunlight and humid environments. Prolonged UV exposure will fade the cover printing and paper color, while moisture can cause paper pages to mold and stick together. It is recommended to use a transparent protective sleeve for paper covers to prevent scratches and creases.
-For CD/DVD discs, hold them by the edges or center holes to avoid touching the data side; store them in their original plastic cases when not in use to prevent scratches and dust accumulation. Vinyl records should be placed vertically to avoid warping, and a record sleeve is recommended to reduce friction damage.
-Clean the cover and inner pages with a soft brush or a dry cloth to remove dust; do not use a damp cloth to wipe paper materials to prevent water stains and wrinkles. For dirty CD surfaces, use a dedicated disc cleaning cloth to wipe in a radial direction from the center to the edge, and never use alcohol or other organic solvents.
-When playing CDs or vinyl records, ensure the player’s laser head or turntable needle is clean to avoid damaging the disc. Do not play warped or severely scratched discs, as this may cause the player to malfunction and further damage the carrier. Rewind cassette tapes completely before storing them to prevent the tape from tangling.
